Hi All, Back on the board after being way for a while. Anyway - I've got a built Slant (powerband 3k to 5k), with 3.55s. I'm now realizing that my auto tranny is not happy with this. I'd like to get the TCI rebuild kit, and have someone install it for me. It's a 63 pushbutton - so I'm guessing that there aren't too many people that know how to work on it. Anyone in the San Francisco Bay Area that is trustworthy??? I'd like to get it pretty firm (second gear rubber would be nice). It should be able to do that. Even with 235/60's - I can fry the back tire(s) simply by flooring the car from a dead stop. |

Try AAMCO on Brook St. in Oakland. The owner Dan has a lot of old steel himself, and if his shop can't, then maybe he knows someone who can? |
