Ok the rattle inside the door is getting on my last nerve..

I've removed panels in other cars, just haven't done it in my valiant yet......

So are there any GOTCHA's that will destroy the panel if I do it wrong?

What kind of clips hold it in, will just a simple pry it out work? (starting from bottom)

Thanks

The panels are held into the door by spring clips that push through holes in the inner door skin. After you have repmoved the handles, armrests, mirror toggle escuctheon, etc. you can pop the clips loose. A tool is available to do the job, mine was part of a kit that I got at Harbor Freight for about 6.00 and it is also sold by Eastwood and The Paddock and I am sure others as well. I've used a flat blade scredriver or better yet a gasket scraper. You just insert the tool next to the clip then pry outward to pop it out of the hole. The only gotcha is that you need to keep the tool up tight against the clip or you can tear out the slot in the fiberboard backing.

Thanks.

I actually have the tools....... (either a harbor freight sale, or JC Whitney (to get over a $ threshold when JC Whitney had a sale to get the discount))

just got to see if I can find them
