I know Mike was talking about testing there for Vegas.
It is real ify for him though. The weather that time of year can make it tough getting out there.

I was out at Speedworld today watching some racing and the filming of an episode of "Pinks." I happen to be sitting next to the former vice president and current racing coordinator for Mopars Unlimited of Arizona, Dale Fowler. He asked me to ask if there was any interest in a slant 6 class at their annual car show and racing event in March. He said they are looking for sponsors so that they can offer decent purses for the different racing classes and they are interested in the slant 6 class. This year the event is the weekend prior to the Las Vegas event and they have several racers coming through on their way to Vegas including some funny cars which will be making exhibition runs. |

There are definitely a few Slant racers in NM/AZ/CA who do not necessarily come on this site. Seymour Pederson of the SSRN would know who and how to contact. Lou |

There was a semi-active chapter of the Slant 6 Club of America in the Phoenix area and some of them were into performance. I don't have any contact info anymore though. The last I lived in AZ was about 6 years ago. Surely somoene in Mopars Unlimited will have some info on those guys. The Official Series is already pretty much set for this year, so it's too late to add it as a points race. Nothing says you can't have a Slant 6 class added to the program though! Good Luck! |
