I've got a 64 signet, 225, 4-speed, in stock condition. Im getting ready to freshen it mechanicly leaving it stock except for some engine mods. I have a Offy 4 barrel intake with 390 HOlley, 264 Clifford cam and kit,and headers, and a Petronix ignition. I'm doing the machine work this week. Anything else i should do remembering that I'm just going to drive it on the street. I;m also installing A/C. It should be a nice ride.

do the head right. valve job, have the guides checked and replaced if needed (count on it.) did you get new valvesprings in that clifford cam kit? valve keepers and locks are usually a good idea, too. every engine i have built always ends up costing an extra 50-100 bucks for "incidentals" (plugs/cap/rotor/wires, paint, belts, extra "little stuff.") replace the pilot bushing in the crank while it's all apart, maybe the input seal on the trans. how's the clutch and linkage?
it's easy to go crazy, concetrate on making it sound mechanically.

If it was my ride i would have 3.23 gears in it for the street . If it was a short daily ride ie 10 miles one way i would have 3.55 gears in it . A lot of bang for the buck with gears. Thanks Ron Parker :D :D

What's your compression ratio? You might want to increase it a little.

Clifford makes you buy their springs with new cams otherwise you void the warranty
