| Post subject: | Anyone Sacrificed a head (sliced) for porting? |
Hello. Has anyone ever cut through a slant head to find out exactly where the water jackets are? If so, do we have pix to share? I read about porting in a previous post and it said to stay away from the "square" deals (or something like that) in between the ports. Wasnt real clear to me. I have plans...BIG plans for my slanty. the first being a port job on the exhaust and cleanup of the intake (a turbo is one of my plans) I have some pretty good connections for my plans, but only two mopar buddies. Hope that will change soon Thanks Coot |

I you search on this website for doug dutra (I think his screen name is doc) and porting, you will eventually find a pic or two of some heads he cut up. The pictures have been posted several times, so it shouldn't be impossible to find, but I don't have the time myself. |

exactly what information do you need? are you looking to put in the biggest valves possible, or is it something else? the biggest valves I have heard of is 1.88 intake and 1.5 exhaust. http://www.225.ca/tech/s6rn04.htm I have also used the same thing myself. my flow numbers are up in the slixers gallery section under "sick6's duster". you may also want to do a search for the mopar muscle build-up thread. |
