>>>*Just dropping by to say howdy and introduce myself. I am an old retired engine machinist and rebuilder. *I probably should fit here since I am into inline engines (1969 Winternationals class champ DG/Dragster)...*well, that was a 321" Chevy but still..I mess with Toyotas, Datsuns, and Fords and AMC's. I kinda like the old slants too, my Dad used to kid about how when the bodies rusted out, we could block them up and use the engines to saw wood!...*LOL**.. Anyway, hi and hope I am welcome....*EB |

i saw lately dual slant 4brrl just sad the company closed but i want to find one, also want to find spec of an engine equipped with http://www.prolinefuel.com/dualslant.html ____________________________________________________________ >>>*I had me an old Plymouth a jillion years ago, a 1964 Belvedere. It came with a 318 but threw a rod so I bought it for $60 and stuffed in a 225 that came out of another car that lost an argument with a tree. It had a 3 speed stick in it, on the floor, I just swung it all in there. Cut me a hole in the floor for the gearshift, cut up an innertube and made a boot cover. It was way underpowered so I bought a 4BBL intake manifold from an outfit called Clifford. *Don't know if they are still around. I managed to get a Rochester off a 1964 Impala on there after making some parts. It actually ran pretty good from about 50 mph up, but if I got in too much of a hurry with the gas pedal at low speeds it would shoot flames you wouldn't believe. Then one day I figured out that it had an automatic ratio rear end in it, which is why Saturday mornings were "replace the clutch" day...*LOL**...If I stopped at the top of Main street in Toledo, Oregon, she wouldn't pull herself, I would have to back down the hill and go around. Of course, that meant I backed up past the police station, they used to come out and yell at me.......*EB |

Quote: well hello
Those were actually dual Weber two barrels on I believe an offy intake. Sweet set-up and easy to tune. the same company carried several different set-ups and also some nice fastener kits. they have been closed for over a year, can't figure out what happened to them, very sad, I was just about to purchase the dual Webers when they shut down.for myself same introductory own a valiant signet 200 sedan 69 with plenty of dream modif (dream), i saw lately dual slant 4brrl just sad the company closed but i want to find one, also want to find spec of an engine equipped with http://www.prolinefuel.com/dualslant.html already came oftem on slanstix.org, just now i come in.. will read all posts hopefully find plenty of good documentation RoGo Last time I checked you could still put the set-up together on the Weber site but get out our wallet.....or guard it with your life, one or the other |
