I have been told to look out for a long runner, 4-barrel intake if wanting to upgrade my /6. But I came across a short runner 4-barrel. What are the differences between these two regarding performance, looks, weight, specs, etc. Thanks again in advance... |

What brand intakes are you talking about? By long runner I guess you mean Hyperpak? The short is an offenhauser, clifford or...? That way you get the best answer possible. What are you hoping to achieve with this motor? |

Trying to achieve durability/reliability because it will be used as a daily driver. |

Then a 2bbl would almost certainly better suit your needs than either of the 4bbl pieces you're asking about.

Any reliable brand with a good reputation that you recommend? |

Super six intake (two barrel) with a carter BBD from a late 70's aspen/volare/diplomat. Look in the articles section off the main page all the information you need for the swap is there. |
