I've got a 225 slant/6 out of a 72 Dart. I have a cast iron super six setup and wondered what 2bbl carb would be best to run? My car is a 50 Plymouth, so I'm not worried about originality or correctness. I want something simple, no smogs or anything. Engine is basically stock, bored .030, electronic ignition, stock exhaust with 2" pipe, 904 automatic.

Carter BBD definitely. Easy to tune, reliable, good design and has an excellent metering sytem. One of the best 2-barrels ever made. Be soure to check for throttle shaft wear. That can be corrected by having the throttle shaft rebushed.

If I had a super six intake kicking around and was looking for some 2bbl carb ideas, I would probably try something like what OZZ did. I haven’t had any experience with Webers yet but I’ve heard they’re great carbs.

Have a look at the following installation of OZZ's posting on SS.com

More photos of Weber installation at OZZ's cardomain site
