I've got a 225 slant/6 out of a 72 Dart. I have a cast iron super six setup and wondered what 2bbl carb would be best to run? My car is a 50 Plymouth, so I'm not worried about originality or correctness. I want something simple, no smogs or anything. Engine is basically stock, bored .030, electronic ignition, stock exhaust with 2" pipe, 904 automatic. |

Carter BBD definitely. Easy to tune, reliable, good design and has an excellent metering sytem. One of the best 2-barrels ever made. Be soure to check for throttle shaft wear. That can be corrected by having the throttle shaft rebushed. |

If I had a super six intake kicking around and was looking for some 2bbl carb ideas, I would probably try something like what OZZ did. I haven’t had any experience with Webers yet but I’ve heard they’re great carbs. Have a look at the following installation of OZZ's posting on SS.com More photos of Weber installation at OZZ's cardomain site Frank http://cars.rasoenterprises.com/ |
