Now when you pull the switch the switch to the second position everything comes on including head lights, all except the dash light... it freakin' gose out agosehe turn signal lights kinda glow, but not enough that I can see

Twist the dimmer knob through its travel. The headlight switch on mine has some corrosion on the rheostat that causes the same thing. A good turn is always enough to get mine going.

If the bulbs are good, then check the Neutral Safety / Reverse Light switch. Threaded into the transmission, has a 3-wire connection on it. Remove the 3-wire plug, turn the ignition on (engine off), place the transmission in Reverse, and use a multimeter to check for continuity across the outer two pins of the switch. If there's continuity, test the two outer sockets of the 3-wire plug. One should have continuity to ground, and the other should show +12v relative to ground. If no continuity across the outer pins, replace the switch. If continuity across the outer pins, but no ground and +12v at the plug, you've got a wiring fault on your hands. Occasionally the plastic finger on the trans valve body that "kicks" the switch will wear to the point that it can no longer activate a new switch; in that case some repair work on the valve body part is required.

Bad grounds! Pull the instrument cluster and pay careful attention to the ground connection. You may well wind up going through the whole car cleaning up corroded grounds.
