We finally installed the seat belts I rounded up for my son's '74 Dart Sport.
They came from a bench seat car and his has a bench seat. There seems
to be something wrong with the way the passenger-side retractable shoulder
belt reels out when you buckle up. The belt bunches up in the corner of the
support it is threaded through that is hanging from the roof rail.

If you have one of these type retractable systems, you know what I am describing. The shoulder belt comes straight up out of the side wall retractor
trim piece; threads through the roof rail mount; then attaches to the tongue of the lap belt. In order for it to take that route, the belt has to have a little
twist in it, as it goes through the roof rail mount.

Can someone describe (or better yet, send pics) how their belt is installed? I
tried twisting the belt in the mount, but it seemed to make it worse. The odd thing is the driver-side belts work fine, and they seem to be installed the same way, just a mirror image. I sure could use some pics to see how the twist occurs while the belt is hanging in its "home" position, then another one with the belt pulled out and strapped around a passenger.

Thanks for any help,
Jerry

I think the belt's got an extra half-twist in it somewhere.

My toyota does that on the passenger side sometimes at the buckle part. If you line up correctly at the buckle the half-twist gets into the system. Try flipping over the buckle by folding the belt inside the buckle (tricky but can be done) so that the buckle is on the other side of the belt.
