I have a 1966 Dodge Coronet with a nice red, but cracked steering wheel. Do any of you experienced restorers have any suggestions on a good way to repair these cracks? |

That's a lengthy and fiddly process, but it can be done with epoxy putty such as PC7. You have to grind/file the cracks so they're V-shaped and free of loose plastic chunks, clean the parent plastic thoroughly, apply the putty and shape it, sand/fettle it to final shape, then paint the whole wheel. PC7 can be found at most good hardware or home stores. Eastwood has a Kit and a Book. |

I've used J-B Weld a couple of times and it worked well. After 3 years, it still hasn't cracked or come out. |

POR-15 makes a steering wheel kit also. |
