Ok. We're getting close to being on the road again. I have a pair of bbds to go through and build one good carb out of. I know I need to the the throttle shaft machined and rebushed, on either one. I believe both are off of slants. Is one year more desirable than another? If I pulled the #'s off of them, could somebody point me in the right direction? Any helpful hints, I'm not to familiar with carbs... Thanks guys.

Not really. If they are both off of slant sixes then you should just pick the one in better condition.
