Post subject:  SSRN/National Performance Index Q's

Perhaps I missed something in the writeup, or am just mis-interpreting things.

Does this apply only to races that are slant oriented, or could I "make the grade", (so to speak), by competing at my local track, as long as I can provide the documentation?
I am reading this as something that I can participate in by running at my local track, and as long as I make the 15-round minimum, then I can be rated on the performance index.
Obviously, I would have to win some of the rounds of eliminations to get anywhere and the further I go, the better my standings.

Am I wrong, or just insane?

It is my recollection that you need to be a Slant racing event, but there are some races that count for series points and some don't, but only count for the "perf index" points. I'd have to look at my last SSRN, but it should be spelled out in there. I could be wrong.

Roger, any chance you'll make either of the 2 races near you this year (St. Louis, Joliet IL)? Just curious.

Lou...it wasn't spelled out clearly enough in SSRN for me to fully understand. I had a talk with Seymour last night, and he confirmed that it does have to be a slant race, with the exception of the Slant/Inliners meets out in Cali.

I was hoping I could run at my local strip and provide documentation on wins/losses for it to count. Sort of like a "postal match", if you understand the term.

Seymour had called to prod me for the next chapter of my write-up. I didn't realize it was getting this close for the next issue.

As for the question you asked in your last.........I'm giving away the last paragraph in my latest chapter, but yes, I do intend to pull to Route 66 in August. Even if I can't get the car there, I will come to watch.
The St. Louis race is still up in the air. Let's just hope I don't have a major component decide to dramatically disassemble itself.

Hey, that's great news to hear! I'm actually gonna be living on the UNI campus this summer as part of an internship, so I'll be there for sure. I've never been there, so I have no idea what the area is like; is it a decent strip?

Hey Mikey, where/when do you guys have get-togethers? I'm finally settled in up here in Cedar Falls, and it'd be fun to have some other mopar guys to hang out with.
