I found this phrase about a Mopar on the internet.

"the 383 ci was designed with a more agressive crankshaft "

What on earth is an "agressive crankshaft?"

I don't know the answer but 'agressive crankshaft' sounds better than 'submissive crankshaft'.

If it is on the internet, it must be true :D
Maybe it beats up on the bearings

Oh yes! :!: My seriously skeptical brother works it the other way: "If it's on the internet it is not true." That's so no one bothers him with any facts.

As for the agressive crank,I'm not sure of the results, but I'll bet it's because the engineers forgot to run their designs by the shrink.

My wild guess: Somebody meant to write "aggressive camshaft".

It is a crankshaft with xyy chromasome. 383 cranks make up a lot of the prisoners on death row. Just kidding. It's a beefy crank which the slant 6 has a lot in common with.
