I talked to a guy from Schumacher Creative Services at the Seattle Mopar show last weekend and he said they are now stocking motor mounts for early A-bodies, but that they are not listed in their ads. He did warn that they are not US made. 206-364-7151 |

Probably the Anchor-brand items. Those were from Mexico ten years ago, probably from Taiwan or Malaysia or China by now. Such a simple rubber block...I wish Schumacher or Imperial Services would make us some polyurethane ones so that we could replace the mounts once and never think about them again! |

If there's enough interest, I could probably have a batch of motor mounts for '63-'66 A-bodies made myself. Doesn't take a big company to make parts that simple. Here's what I have in mind: 1. American made 2. Polyurethane rubber 3. Failsafe design - if the rubber breaks, the mount will still hold together 4. Transmission mounts, too If I could get them at a decent price, who'd want a pair? |

If the price is reasonable, I would be. Rick |

Those'll actually suit '62 to '66 Valiant, Dart, Lancer and Barracuda with slant-6, plus some '61 Valiant & Lancer with 225, plus Australian SV1, AP5 and AP6 with slant-6.Quote: 1. American made
Yep, all sounds like the right way to do it. The polyurethane chosen shouldn't be too much harder than the original rubber.2. Polyurethane rubber 3. Failsafe design - if the rubber breaks, the mount will still hold together Quote: 4. Transmission mounts, too
These are already readily available for the '62-'72 A-bodies, in rubber or polyurethane.Quote: If I could get them at a decent price, who'd want a pair?

Ok, let me add one more thing to my list of specs: Powder coated. Any other things they ought to have? |

Well, OK, are we maybe talking about not only reproducing the stock mounts, but maybe improving on them? I've had a few ideas on that front over the years...the stock '62-'66 style mounts work OK, nothing really wrong with them, but there are stronger designs that are better in one or more ways. I'm thinking for example of the vertical-shear mounts that were used in the '60-'61 A-bodies (and in the trans mount from '62-'72). |

I'd be interested in a couple pair as well. |

ok, while we're on the subject, does anyone know of a source for poly motor mounts for '67 up a-bodies? Specifically a 1970 Dart, 225, A904, etc....? |

Application is '62-'72 A-body, all engines, all transmissions. Source is Imperial Services. Not sure why they bothered making a 2-stud model for '61-'65; the 1-stud unit originally found in '66-'72 services the older applications, too. Oh well, there you are! |

I'm afraid I'm not seeing any motor mounts on that page.... Just Transmission mounts. What am I missing? Thanks, Nat |

Whoops, sorry, my error, I misread your question. You were asking about motor mounts, and for some strange reason I thought you needed a trans mount. AFAIK nobody makes polyurethane engine mounts for '67-'72 Slant-6 A-bodies. |

Matt, I'm in for a set of improved mounts. More than one set if the price is good. Lou |

Hey Matt, I'm with Lou, put me in for a set, and if they are cheap enough I'll have two. |
