Post subject:  Found - Super Six Kickdown

I checked a local scrap yard for any Slants and found one, in an early 80's Diplomat, I believe.

It had a Super Six and it looked like the kickdown linkage was still there and complete. If I call them and tell them that I want it, what all should I get? I know, from reading past forums, that I should get the trans bracket, but what pieces should I get off the carb? Or, should I just get the carb, air cleaner, manifolds and everything back to the trans?

I don't plan on using it myself, but i thought that if anyone here had a need for it, I could pick it up and send it to them for my cost and postage.

btw, how much should I expect to pay? This is my first foray into the scrap yard to find parts for my Slant.

Thanks,

Bill

You should get all the rods, brackets, ect. from the trans to the carb.
Everything from where it mounts to the trans to where it attaches to
the carb.

Let me see what I can do next week.

My tranny's going out on my grocery-getter, so I'm car shopping this weekend.

I was actually figuring on getting the works: linkage & brackets, manifolds, carb, and those pesky little washers for the intake/exhaust.

I'll let you know if I can score it next week. This place is some what known for being high.

How much would be too much for the whole works...anybody?

Thanks,
Bill
