would the electronic controller going bad cause hesitation/low power/miss/stall, since this device controls the timing advance funtion. the carb. has been rebuilt.

yes.

do search on this board "lean burn." you'll probably want to delete it by going to an electronic ignition kit. there are 2 on ebay for the slant right now.

Before replacing any of the Mopar computers, look at the grounding screws - sometimes corrosion makes for a bad ground and cause lots of problems.

Vacuum leaks can also wreak havoc on a lean burn system. Be sure to check that the vacuum pod on the computer still holds a vacuum.
