I tried the 150 jets in my plate today. The timers got hit by lightning last night, so we only got 1 time run today. Car launched hard and then stumbled, then took off again. It went 12:19@108. After debating with my pal John Borzych about dial in, I decided that I would purge the crap out of it to get rid of the stumble. (Hopefully) I then dialed 12:00 and went to the lanes for Pro. I drew a friend of mine in a big block Duster dialed 10:48. I let go of the button and the car just wailed. It also left me a red light hanging on the tree. |

Good to hear that the new motor is working well. I want to see an 11 out of that sled, let us know when it happens! DD |

Weather permitting I will be at US41 Saturday night. By my 1/8th mile time I should be running in the 11:80's now. I am gonna bolt on my Cox 1.6 rockers Saturday afternoon before I hit the track. I wanna make some all moder passes too just to see what they do. |

Well, results are kinda mixed, but conditions last night were so crappy that I can not give any good data. Car bent the #6 exhaust pushrod on the first burnout. Got it fixed and made a moder pass just to see if it weas gonna live. It went 14:48@92, so I thought it was pretty good. Temp was around 90, humidity was in the high 60's and we had a 20mph dead-on headwind. Backed it up with a 14:50@92. Turned the poop on and it went 12:17@108. Tried to back it up after the temp had dropped to only 85. Car went right at the hit, gathered it in and kept it away from the tree, and still went 12:24@108. All the pieces were still inside, so I put it back on the trailer and went back to the shop. In the midst of it all, I managed to get disqualified from Top, after winning first round, for dialing too slow for the class, even though I had dialed what the tower told me was class maximum. I got myself put into Trophy, and won class before I even made a pass. (I was the only one in class) Next on the agenda is to autopsy my roller rockers and see why they ate a pushrod. I had an easy night though. I met a guy at the track from the Mopar club who had a beautiful Challenger with a pig block in it. He was on his 8th pass since putting on a set of CNC Indy heads when the moder died. He has a window in the block that he can check the rod bolts through. |

Hey Bagel i bent three in mine with stock pushrods. put in Smith Bros and same as Will no problems. PS went 12.58 at Valdosta two times Saturday. I wonder what a 75hp plate shot would. Your racing friend Possum. Better Yet What Would a Turbo Do |

Will, I may do that. I am down to 10 of my priginal Smith Brothers pushrods now. Possum, a 75 shot would make you an 11 second player easily, prolly around 11:50's or so. Turbos blow and suck at the same time. |
