In a thread some months ago, I expressed doubt about Walker-branded carburetor kits. I mistakenly thought this was the Walker exhaust people slapping their name on a product line to increase their shelf coverage. WHOOPS, nope, looks like I was Wrong. It appears Walker is an American manufacturing concern, it looks as if they actually try to produce a quality product, and it looks as if they have impressive parts coverage for \6 carburetors. For example, they supply both the 7.5g and the 12.5g Holley 1920 float, they have the Holley 1920 float bowl gasket in cork or rubber, they have BBS floats and linkage pieces, nylon 1920 accelerator pump actuator cams (early and late style), idle mixture screws for all the carbs, choke thermostats for early slant-6s, etc. Really decent cataloguing, too, navigate from Here. Now the only remaining question is who carries a full range of their stuff. I'll place some phone calls next week and report what I find.

In other news, RockAuto are now carrying Standard-Hygrade carb kits (yay!). I pestered them about carrying the whole Standard line except Hygrade, and it looks as if they recently added Hygrade. At the moment, you have to know the kit number you need, because they haven't integrated lookup cataloguing yet. But I ordered a 1636 (Carter BBS kit) and it came in as promised. Looks like still pretty good quality, too.

Just took a look...........

They seem to have a lot of the little itty bitty pieces, but no old style jets or metering rods.............

:( :( :(

I know that the O'Reilly's chain carries pretty much the whole line of Walker; not sure of other stores.
