put the super six setup on my car and got it going but when we went to set the mixture we hade to enrichin it by about 6 turns out of the stop, just to get it to run. but changing the mixture from that setting would not affect it at all (we were even able to pull the screws all the way out with the motor running) well it ran fine untill about a week ago and then it would stumble and die when rolling up to a red light. went back to adjust them to day and turned them in to about three turns out of bottom and it ran fine! could there have been something blocking in the idle passages that would cause it to do this?

Sounds like it is time to get a carb kit and do a rebuild on that unit.

A "short-cut" option is to get a can of carb cleaner, remove the idle air mixtire bleed screws and spray out the passageways using the nozzle extention tube.
Reinstall the screws, adjust and hope that you "flushed-out" what ever was causing the problem.

thats just it, we did a compleat rebuild on the carb (twice actually, the floats were set wrong the first time and fuel was dripping out onto the throttle blades)
