What am I driving here anyways? I mean I can't find a choke thermostat for an 85' dodge slant. Its deemed obsolete or discntinued whatever. 'course I can't blame 'em. Kripes I had trouble, and I MEAN trouble finding a new switch for a sump pump I bought only one year ago but thats another story. Finding parts for anything nowadays is getting impossible. I seen one on ebay that looks the same but it states it only fits up to 1980 vans and trucks. I figure since its probably old stock they're reading off an outdated listing. Since I have a holley 1945 and not a 6145 it should be compatable back to those years?

Don't strain your brain...go get an electric choke conversion kit. For the same amount of money you'd spend on an original-type choke thermostat, you can get the complete kit, which - unlike the factory setup - is fully adjustable.

Sorry to veer off tangent a little.

Dan, is the the 'delay' housing that connects to the thermostatic choke housing (as pictured in your above linked post, the sqaurish black box that mounts to the engine to detect engine heat and regulate choke pulloff) available seperately anywhere? My electric choke pulls off too quickly, and I could use one.

I asked the same thing. Per SSD, it's available from NAPA, Echlin number 2-1695.

It ain't cheap, though. Mine was $40+!!!
