i got my super six on and its running a little rough around 55-60, and its guzzling worse then it should be i hope, reviewing old messages, most people who put on a super six experienced this and then rebuilt, so i got a kick from napa, for the right year of the donor car, and it has two instruction sheets, one says 1 1/4 solid fuel and the other says with duty cycle solenoid, which do i need to follow? the donor car was a 77 volare wagon, i rebuilt my 1920 before, but any tips of special things to watch for on a bbd? thanks |

Yours is the 1½" "solid fuel" BBD, not the one with duty cycle solenoid. Nothing particularly special to watch out for on the BBD when rebuilding; they're pretty easy to put together. Take your time, keep everything clean-clean-clean, and double-check the instructions if you're not sure about something. |

Teh throttle shaft bushings are located around the throttle shaft where is passes through the carburetor body. I have never seen a reuild kit that included new bushings, but any competent machine or carb shop should be able to rebush the carb. |

can anyone with a working bbd supersix take a picture of how the little piecs are all supposed to go in the little compartment on top? three screws take the cover off, then what i think are the metering rods, and a couple other things i dont know the technical name for, i didnt take a picture before i took it apart and my instructions are garbage, its just a exploded diagram, a poorly drawn and detailed one at that...thanks |

the little cross shaped piece wont go down like it should, and the range of motion is too smail i think when i force it, the white piece goes to high and over the top of the spring that controls how much fuel comes in, anyone? |
