I have an offenhauser single quad intake manifold that I'm putting into a '73 Dart. The car has an automatic transmission and Summit Racing mentions a special kit for automatics which must be ordered separately. What part number is this kit and is there someplace I can get a good price on it? I also have to replace the exhaust manifold. Should I go with a stock replacement? I don't think I have room for headers with the stuff for the power steering and automatic transmission in the way. The engine is bored .030 and it also has a comp cams cam. |

the part # you need is 5270-A. check here: www.offyparts.com or type that # in over at summit. if you want a replacement (new) manifold go here: http://www.1aauto.com/1A/ExhaustManifolds/Dodge/Aspen its a really nice piece and even comes with new triangle washers. in that car there is no reason not to use Dutra Duals, even with power steering....if i am thinking right. http://www.slantsix.org/articles/exhaus ... d-mods.htm that seems daunting at first, but once you cut the front leg off, you can braze it together with stuff you can buy at home depot. sb |
