I know I've seen a dual-2barrel intake manifold somewhere. I found a triple side draft Weber manifold. What carbs fits the dual and can they be bought new? and can they come with electric chokes?
I've heard the triples are a real pain to setup and maybe the dual would be better.
I am assuming the manifold would be about $250 (new) and each carb $250 (new) Total to install dual carbs $750. Seem right?
Will I have to do away with stock exhaust manifold right away or can it wait a bit and still drive car?
Lots of head work is in the making.
I've decided EFI is far in the future and this would look cool (and work well) for the now.
Your advice is wanted.

That's a modified Offenhauser 5041 (dual 1bbl intake). The 5041 comes with carb mounting pads that are large and flat enough to be easily machinable to accept two of almost any passenger car 2bbl you want to install.

hummm. I didn't think so. Maybe what I saw was the finished product after the machining was done.
I don't think the dual 2 barrel is what i want then. The triple side drafts should flow alot more air, but I need a recommendation on what side draft to use with the Clifford 45-3056.
Or a completely different side draft setup if you know one thats better.

Side draft Webers are an awesome way to go if you can swing the cost. You can get all different size chokes and airhorns, so they can be tuned for basically any size engine. Starting with with 40DCOE's would proably be a decent start for a smaller engine like a slant. The Hemi's used 45's factory and seem to work well on engines up to mid 300's+ hp. (met a few guys who went up to 50 DCOE on real high output setups.
You can also easily tune the fuel curve with different emmullsion tube, main and idle jets, and accelerator pump jets and arms.

There are plenty of different linkage bits out there as well to make up what ever you need (mine is a factory setup aside from newer rod-ends.

Yep, that's what you saw. You probably saw it either on ProLineFuel's site or the site of someone who bought one from ProLineFuel. Nobody makes a ready-cast twin 2bbl manifold.
Depends what you're trying to do. Want to set things up like this? I've got a few of those intakes for sale. One and possibly two are already spoken for, which leaves...

...one left. They're originally designed to accept triple SU, Stromberg or Hitachi sidedraft carbs; the link above shows it with the EFI throttle bodies made to fit SU bolt pattern.

I am not ready for the Cost of EFI, but that right where I'd like to go.
Ozhemi - how does air filteration take place or are the filters removed for the picture?
I was looking for one inlet per 2 cylinders for a total of 3 inlets. Do they make side drafts like this.
What does a basic side draft setup cost? Can it be done for under $750?

Yes, there are air filters... factory ones were round, but I have some rectangular K & N ones for the car. You can also get little clip on ones for the ends of the air horns as well.
