I live out in the sticks in East Arkansas. The few machine shops we have I dont trust, so I am going to have to go to Little Rock or Memphis. My question is what do you look for in a good shop? Thanks, Frank |

experience, familiarity with the engine you have. just knowing what a slant six is in some areas is a plus. ask them questions you already know the answer to to see if they know your particular engine well enough. you'd be surprised the answers you get sometimes. I like to find folks that are older than I am, and previous recomendations from past customers also check the better business bureau in your area for previous complaints -dave |

Thanks Dave, I talked to a couple of the local Mopar V8 guys here and they turned me on to a shop in Tenn. that does "great" work. Ill go meet with him the last week of the month and discuss what I am trying to do. I talked to him about /6's and he has done a fair amount. Ill post back to the forum on this and the shop one and give some feed back. There HAVE to be some guys in Memphis or East Arkansas on this Forum. Thanks again, Frank |
