Can I swap a 1977 Volare rear end and front disk breaks to my 1973 Duster plug and play the reason I ask this is because this is post on the site. The Aspen and Volare were produced for 5 model years--1976 through 1980. I know I was told 73-76 but I want to be sure still new at this but having fun !

I believe the spring pad spacing is wrong.

Some parts, yes. The knuckle is taller, and its use in A-bodies has caused some controversy, but it will fit. The disagreement is over geometry at the extremes.
The calipers can be used - I'm using them, mounted to the rear, as well as the hoses. I did have to fit the brake hose bracket a bit.

the spring pad spacing is indeed incorrect and the rear itself is wider overall. The spring mounts are different also, that means if you are going from a 7 1/4 to an 8 1/4 you will need to find spring plates too. If you are using stock wheels and tires it will fit but you have very little clearance at the wheel wells. I would recomend finding a rear out of an A-body and use an F-body rear as a last resort. Been there done that on my 70 Valiant(I ran an F-body rear for about 3-4 weeks), I ditched it as soon as I found an A-body 8 3/4.

I found this has anyone tried this setup !!! Another tip for the people that are looking for a way to convert the 4 inch bolt pattern on the front wheels to the 4-1/2" without changing out everything. This applies to drum brake cars only. Look for a drum brake AMC Gremlin. The bolt pattern is 4-1/2" and the bearings and hub will fit perfectly on the A-body spindle. also how about the AMC Pacer did it have some Mopar parts. I cant find any A-body here in Atlanta G.A or I just dont know who to ask any help in Atlanta GA.

Thanks

Which A-body spindle? The 9" drum or 10" drum?
