I have recently inherited a 73 dart swinger and am currently rebuilding it for my kid. What is the best intake setup for a stock 225? My daughter likes the look of the Offy dual manifold. This is the first of many questions I will have. Thanks in advance.

i like the factory cast iron 2bbl 'super six' manifold and a bbd.

that and a set of Dutra Duals should do you just fine for a street car, but i have to admit the, offy set up is neat looking!

hello and welcome! the dual offy may be a bit much for a stocker. either stick with the factory 1bbl setup or find a supersix 2 bbl setup.
you could do a search and read the MANY threads on this subject. i'm sure you'll find many arguments and insights that will help you find what you're looking for.
once again WELCOME! :D

The dual offy with stock single is too much? Then I quess a 390 cfm holley is out of the question.

Post subject:  Actually...

You can make a Holley 390 work on a stock setup, with the vaccuum secondary it will only draw what the engine needs.

The supersix is a plug and play option with the least amount of hassles (unless your Carter BBD is tanked or unrebuildable). The holley needs some "performance items" (like kickdown linkage...if you have a manual tranny you have much less to worry about...)

It really depends on how much "adventure" you want during your install, your mechanical aptitude/engineering, and where you are going with your modification...

you'll probably hear this from dan...but why not go with the super six...it can be done inexpensively without too much hateful linkage issues. i hear (i don't have it..but want it) that this two barrel setup makes for an excellent upgrade, and works well for stockers...search around, lots of talk about it on this site

welcome to our wonderfully slanted world

Another vote for the super six option

I've got a 2-BBL off of a '76 318 on my 170, works really well.
