Any other vanners out there? I recently bought a 1975 B200 cargo van. The speedo reads 87,2xx, but who really know how many miles are on her. The front springs have been cut and I plan on replacing them with stock springs. I tuned the van last weekend and she is running 100% better. I am going to replace the Holley 1945 with a 1920. After that, I degreased the engine and had no idea the motor was blue! A friend of mine says that a van with a /6 might be worth more than with a V8 due to there were not as many made. I'm really enjoying the van and can't get over how strudy it is. Know wonder it has lasted 31 years. |

Welcome! Great looking van! I owned a 1980 B-series with slant 6. It was an ex- Bell telephone utility van. It had manual steering, manual brakes, and a manual 4 speed overdrive tranny - quite unusual for a utility vehicle here in the city. Another peculiarity on mine was the fact that it had gear on gear timing, no chain. It produced a neat little whine though I don;t know if Ma-Bell did this or the owner that I purchased her off of. I look forward to seeing more pics! Does she have a finished interior? Russ P.S. I am still a van guy, but I only have a Ford Econoline at present. |

A slant gear drive timing set? I'm intrigued. Anyone know anything more about it?
