Anyone using K&N air filters on their /6's? I use them on my other cars and enjoy their performance. |

I have an 11" K&N assembly on my car. It performs pretty much like the stock air breather.......it just looks cool and I won't be buying filter elements for a long time! |

K&N filters do not improve how your car runs or drives in any way. They do, however, let a great deal more dirt into your engine to wear it out sooner. Many/most of their advertising claims are BS, and it's not hard to find mountains of good data showing that the darn things are no good (at best). See here (holy crap—an OEM AC filter passed only 0.4 grams of dust over the same test the K&N passed 7.0 grams! |

Yep, I remember a few years back Hot Rod Magazine did a flow test on the major brands of filters. The K&N did'nt flow any better than some of the better "paper" filters. |
