Hey all, I know this has been discussed b4 but

am thinking of swapping my 1 brl Holley - stock 225, 70 Belvedere 4-door Sedan - for a 2 brl set-up
Have obtained a stock Chrysler 2 brl manifold, and a Universal Holley 390 CFM 2 brl ( i have been told it is a universal linkage or some a thing like a that)
My understanding is that I can't just hook up and go

Junkyards no help, EBAY XPENSIVE for these linkages
Has anyone heard of or used either the Spectre 'Universal" Bracket, or other
or this one

http://www.bouchillonperformance.com/BP ... onsNEW.asp

or know of any aftermarket re-pro pieces?
any assistance apreciated
she's dark green, with the police/taxi rubber matting on the floors, stock AM radio working fine, 1 speaker (Stand back!) and generally runs and starts fine since I had the Holley rblt.

I just find she runs out of steam with the 1 brl way to fast, I don't want a hot rod, just some driveability.
Cheers all

I don't have any experience with the bouchillon cable, but I run a Lokar kickdown and it works fantastic. The bracket for the carb end is kinda worthless, but it is very easy to make and/or buy a more usable bracket. The good part is, it's far cheaper than the bouchillon.

I would be carefull with bouchillon. A few years back I had a very bad experiance, with them. Without going into a lot of detail, suffice it to say, I had a problem with one of their products, and their customer service s**ks. Never did get the problem resolved. Will never deal with them again.

I agree with Charlie, get the lokar cable from Jeg's or Summitt. Several guys in my Mopar club have bought stuff from Bouchillion and the results have really stinked.

o great, I just got that Bouchillon kit. I have a question about the trans cable shown in Figure 8D at the bottom of this link:
http://www.bouchillonperformance.com/BP ... onsNEW.asp

I have it hooked up just like they say and the travel in the cable seems too short to operate properly. Somewhere in the instructions it says the trans lever should move 1.125-1.25". The cable only moves about .75" and seems real short. Has anyones bad experience included this kit? What is the working travel on that trans lever?

Why not call Bouchillon, and see what they suggest? See if their attitude has changed for the better, and report back. My problem was several years ago, maybe things have changed.
