Just bought a used Clifford intake. Is the plane that the 4 brl. carb adaptor bolts onto supposed to be at an angle? If this intake was bolted onto the car, the carb would actually be leaning toward the front of the car slightly. Is that normal for this intake?

The engine when properly mounted will be pointing up slightly in the front, leaving the carburetor level to the ground. This is the same for v-8 manifolds. When sitting on an engine stand the carb mounting looks odd, but when mounted in the car, it will all make sense.
