Here is the linkage that I got form a Volare at the junk yard will this work with this carb? I still think I need more linkage to connect to the kick down rod from the tranny.

Somebody correct me, but the Volare gave you a kickdown throttle link and throttle spring retainer for a 2 barrel super six setup....

The 1975 setup doesn't require a throttle return spring as the Holley 1945 already has one integral to the carb (and the 1973 Holley 1920 also).

The kickdown link basically is an adjustable rod that connects on the lowest hole on the throttle lever, the cable hooks to a hole higher on the lever (using a 'peg' with a cotter pin/'hairpin').

Wish I had a pic for you, but I'm in the middle of swapping heads and a more leak free intake on my Beater Valiant...

Technically no, it doesn't require one to operate, but for safety reasons, it's /highly/ recommended.
