Post subject:  hei problems

hi 2 years ago i did the hei conversion on my 87 d100 slant six. yesterday i changed the radiator hoses and checked the pulleys for a noise i heard. after i shut the hood the truck would not start. i figured the module was bad so i changed it. same problem. now my question is on a good hei module i should have power on the distributer terminals ( w and g) right? those terminals are o volts on my setup right now. the cap, rotor, plugs and coil all look good but i am not getting power through to the distributer? HELP.

Double check the ground. The units will not work if not grounded.

The same wire that goes to your coil is the one that should have Voltage.

Yes the coil should, but when the ignition is firing shouldn't the other side have voltage also?
