| Post subject: | block casting numbers? |
i`m trying to find out what year slant i have. i looked all over the block and didn`t find any date. the numbers on the deck say its a 225 and the head doesn`t have spark plug tubes. where do i need to look? |

There is a machined flat above the number one spark plug that will have all the info stamped on it from the factory, this probably blocked from view by your alternator. |

here are the #`s i found- on the deck of the block- 0 225 R1 10 2L rt. side of the block-3489 lt. side of the block-3304 on the head-3419 4104362 |

on the deck of the block- 0 225 R1 10 2L If I am interpreting this right your motor is a 1970, 225, built on October 2 1970 correct me if I am wrong. Jim |
