Are all the slant 6 Z bars the same?? Will a 67 Z bar for a 3 speed work in a 67 with a O/D 4 speed? Thanks |

67 I would guess the z-bar would be the same, and MG I cant answer your question on the interchange, but maybe someone else will.... |

Thank you. I noticed this one had gone unanswered. It was the only reference i found in my search. So I tried to resurrect it. |

I did find that the 63 to 66 small bell housing A bodies use the same z-bar for 3 and 4 speed applications. I think I can safely assume the 62 will match that. knowing that the a bodies became wider in the engine compartment may exclude the interchange with the newer a bodies along with the fact that the bell housing diameter changed as well. |

The 67-76 slant six Zbar is for the wide bodies, 63-66 is a little different in width. Never have pulled one out of an early car to see what length the 60-62 is. -D.Idiot |
