I have noticed the clifford intakes that are selling on Ebay from time to time have a boss cast in on each runner near the head. That seems like it would make it easy for someone to drill the correct holes for the injectors to seat.

Are there other options that make it easy to adapt efi? I know that you can by the injector bungs and have them welded in, but that might be more tricky with welding and getting the right positioning and angle.

Sam Powell and I have those clifford 4bbl intakes with the bosses drilled for injectors. Works fine. Should cost you about $2-300 to have bungs welded into any intake, though.

Some time ago clifford made a limited run of manifolds with the bungs already drilled out and fuel rails as well - he sold me one at same price as an un-drilled manifold. Call them to see if they still have any. These were already manufactured and sitting on the shelf so you shouldn't have any issues with clifford playing with ship dates.

I've gotten estimates from other shops to add bungs to a manifold and manufacture a rail/holddown setup for $150-200 I believe. One of them was http://www.customefis.com/ - or http://www.affordable-fuel-injection.com/ - www.rancefi.com is also known for great work but costs quite a bit, I think his cost was in the 400's. Again this was at least 2 years ago probably so getting in touch with the shops would be a good idea.

do you have any pics of your engine bay or manifold? If you do, could you post them?

Also, what kind and size of injectors are you using - gm/ford bosch style?low impedence?

I got my bungs installed from intake elbows.com . I am more than happy with the work and personal service. He also did the rail.

So it appears that you did not start with the clifford intake that had bosses cast in. Is that correct? Are you planning on using a 4 bore throttle body like the one used on accel and edelbrock efi setups?

What kind of injectors are those and what size?

I think you could scratch build an intake for far less then modifing one. Six 1 1/2" 16 gauge J tubes, a 12" of 1/2" by 3" flat bar, 21" of 3.5" 16 gauge tube, some 3/16" flat plate, a 5.0 throttle body, 21" of 1/2" square tube, and some brass plumbing fittings and you have a MPEFI manifold. Of course, some assembly is required.
