I have a book titled "Slant Six Performance/Economy Modifications 82-04 Second Edition." It was published by Seven-L Engineering. Does anyone know who wrote it, how to contact the author or if it is still in print? Thanks, Andrew |

"7-L Engineering" was the name under which Tony Lewis sold four photocopied booklets in the 1980s: The one you have, which was mostly a reprint of an early version of the Direct Connection 6-cylinder engine (together with some accounts of Mr. Lewis' own modifications to his 1975 Valiant...nothing that hasn't been covered in greater detail here on the board); "The Story of Valiant" and "Chrysler's Die-Cast Aluminum Block 225 CID Engine", which were photocopy reprints (unauthorised, as far as I know) of papers written by Chrysler and published by SAE; and one booklet dealing specifically with 2bbl swaps. Most of the material for the latter was, again, taken directly from the DC book, and it's all been amply covered and in greater detail here on the board. The "Valiant" and "Aluminum" ones can be had at very reasonable cost directly from SAE—I'll dig up the SAE paper numbers for you if you like. |
