Just looking through the cam chart that was posted earlier....... The Engle KV-1 looks like a killer street cam, why don't I hear more about it??? It has a crazy amount of lift(.546?) for the duration(271). Wouldn't this make it a super torque stick? That's like roller cam specs. Is it really hard on the valvetrain? Is it even still around?,I know it's not on the website??? Just curious........ |

The only place I have found a reference to it's use is in the Mopar Muscle Magazine article "Buzzin' Half Dozen". So I put it in the spreadsheet. bwhitejr |

The KV-1 profile is not recommended for the street. It's an aggressive profile and needs strong springs that will wear the lobes during extended idling or low RPMs. I think that's the cam the Rob Simmons has in the 'Gods Rod Duster'. Engle does have a nice selection of street profiles that are better the the Chevy style lobes most others offer. |
