Anyone have any hot tips on this so as not to damage the stainless trim? I bought an SK tool for removing Chrysler mouldings and know what the clips look like inside, but I've never done this car.

I'll be replacing the windshld and seal, so I can muck up the seal.

Thanks very much,

Lou

1st off --take your time-- next slide a flat blade(putty knife) around the trim to loosen it up a bit-- find the point where you have the most play slide the tool in place & the trim should snap loose(alot of times there will be dirt build up holding it in place)-- once you have the 1st one loose-- just follow along & work the trim the same way-- A warm sunny day would probably help --more flex in the trim
Not too hard-- just don't get in a hurry ,Lawrence

I wrap some tape around the tool where it contacts the glass to stop scratchs.
Just hope someone didn't previously remove the trim, apply butyl rubber around the seal, then reinstall the trim before the butyl cured. That's what someone did on my '69 Super Bee. It took 4 hours to remove trim and front glass, 4 hours for the rear. Hardest 8 hours I ever spent on a half hour job.

Find a loooooonnnnnnggggg straight road and let it rip. Be sure and document what speed it comes off at..... :D .

Seriously as stated above take your time and watch out for dirt build-up. It can trick you.

Tom was right . When i was driving my car to the drag strip one day i had not raced in a couple of weeks. I had just put in the 3.23 gears in the car. Sunday 11 Am on The Bypass around Dalton i thought i would clear it up before i got to the strip. Left the red light blew it out thru all gears and had it up to 105 mph when something blew off . I slowed down because i thought it was a piece of chrome off the side. When i got to the drag strip a friend asked where is your chrome windshield piece. Damn thats when we made the car into a race car. I have never looked back. Thanks Ron Parker :D
