I converted my 225 to hydraulic lifters using the Clifford Performance kit. (cam, lifters, springs).

The head was shaved 0.100 and the springs are set to the factory height.

I'm ready to order new pushrods. I know I can obtain an adjustable pushrod and set it at the correct length and then order a set of pushrods made to that length, but I'd like to avoid that step, if possible. Or am I just kidding myself?

Does anyone know what length pushrod I should order, or do I need to measure?

Thanks.

walter-

call smith brothers (pushrods.net?) they make great pushrods and they can tell you exactly how to measure for this. be sure you have the proper hydraulic rockers and get pushrods that will feed oil to the top end from the lifters.
they made a beautiful set for my 318 (hydraulic cam with mechanical roller rockers) and i had them in less than a week.

Stumbled on to your rather dated post. I too have rodded my '82 hyraulic lifter slant six and am now looking for pushrods. What length did you end up using, and where did you buy them?

Thanks,
Dave

Too busy with other projects.

Alas!!!
