O.K....I've heard enough about Clifford. I'll take it from those who have been there. So, I'm letting Schneider cams regrind mine to a 264/.480 grind. That-a-way I can use my stock pushrods. Yes! What about headers? Does Clifford make good headers? Or do you still have to fight to get 'em? Hookers would be O.K., but look like they would drag. 40in. tubes...... I'm all ears to those who know better..! |

I recently ordered a cam from clifford and it took two months to show up, but it was a custom grind. I think I might be the only one here on the board who has ordered from them in the last six months or so. I could be wrong. I am going to order my headers from them, since they are the only ones I know of still producing a 3 to 1 set. I contacted hooker headers a few years back and they told me they didn't make them for a six anymore. I might have just been talking to an idiot. the last set of headers I had from clifford were in the car for 20 years, through all minnesota has to offer. never had any trouble with them. I beleive the problem now is just to make sure they have what you need in stock before you give them any money, although they still could be feeding you a line of BS I guess. |

What year car? Headers are car, not engine, specific. If you are using a 66 down "A" body, Clifford is your only source for headers. The best way to deal with Clifford is to call them up. Ask them if what you want is in stock, and when it will ship. Put it on a credit card, only if it is in stock, and for immediate shipment, and tell them if you don't have it in 7-10 (depending on distance to you) days you will cancel the order. If you don't have it in that time, call them and cancel the order, and don't belive any BS they tell you. If they won't cancel, call your credit card company, and put the amount in dispute. Another way is by e-mail (paper trail). sales@cliffordperformance.net That will get you to Larry Milwee, the owner of Clifford |

I bought a set of Clifford shorty's a few years back and they were expensive and the steel was so thin, you could view a solar eclipse while holding them up to your eye. If I had to do it again, I would go with Dutra Duals. Same performance with no leaks, last forever, you can retain your heat riser if you choose to and you can not view a solar eclipse through them. |
