6 months ago i had a rebuilt slant put in my dart.
since then I have noticed the engine bay has patches of sticky, grit ridden gunk all over.
specifically on:
the underside of the air cleaner
the face of the alternator
the fan blades
the upper and lower radiator hoses
the middle of the hood (underside)
power steering pump
my coolant resevoir is also filled with this black gritty gunk

i knew my old carb was leaking so i put a new (not remanned) one on from a store recommended by ss dan (in california, can't remember the name) problem still remains. was my engine poorly rebuilt? she holds oil fine, i don't have to add any between oil changes.

From what your saying, it almost sounds like your transmission cooling lines are leaking at the radiator.
