I would like to develop an inexpensive EFI kit for the Slant-6 based on a modified stock intake manifold. Unfortunately, I don't have a running legal slant here to do the needed R&D. If somebody would like the very first one, have it installed, and have it cost less then the end kit will, please let me know.

I will need the car here at my shop for upwards of 2 months, it will need to be legal, and in overall sound condition. All end tuning will be done and it will be "turn the key and drive it home" when I'm done. I will be looking to have it here by early March. I am about 45 miles NNW of Harrisburg, PA in a town of Ickesburg.

If I lived closer, Mike, you know that you and I would be working on this.

Somebody is looking at a turn-key EFI vehicle for about $1/4 of what the other EFI retrofit kits cost, and this includes labor! If I could have a choice, I'd prefer an AT vehicle, so I can better tune the AIS when in gear, an early 1G A-body would be ideal, the more options I have to fanangle around the better. Of course, there is no hurry, but once I commit to somebody, the offer is closed.

GMader has bought a turbo exhaust manifold and ported head from me and is a character witness to the quality of my work.

I'd be willing to drive one leg of the trip with my wife. I already had a tenative offer from SlantSixDan on his '62 Lancer, which is in Michigan. With the projects I have going now, it would be March or so before I could get started properly. I have my prep work on this end before the car ever shows up. I would rather work with the right person, even if it means a long drive to do so, rather than work with somebody that is less than ideal just because they're close. Of course, there might be quirks to the system. The ideal person would be willing to allow for quirks and allow for me to work through them with them. Three month's notice allows much thought to go into decisions, and hopefully provides for a well thought out plan.

I am interested in principle, and not too far away. Scheduling might be an issue. I have two EFI'd Slant Darts and it would be interesting to compare. Probably my 68 would be the most convenient candidate.

I'm surprised you haven't gotten more bites already. Phil Stoneback in E. PA or Greg or Brian in Pitts seem like obvious candidates.
