I'm planning on running the gm batchfire injector system but I want to buy injectors that are'nt 20 years old. Looking on Ebay and at auto part store websites leaves me with a few questions. What difference is there between using high impedence injectors and the other type? Did the mid 80's gm batchfire system use high impedence injectors or not? Will the newer high impedence injectors work with the mid 80's system? By now you should be able to tell that I dont know s**t about injector technology. Please help an ignorant guy out.

you need to get high impedance injectors. An oem ecm will not be able to run low impedance injectors.

Hi impedence injectors restrict the current flow to a level that will not damage the ECM's internal electronic components. In general, the smaller the flow of the injectors, the higher the impedence. For your application it is better to stick with high impedence injectors. My understanding is that high impedence injectors respond slightly slower than low impdence ones, but in your application that would be unimportant.
