Does anyone know if a fuel injection set up from a early 90's 3.8 ford with a distributor would work for the fuel inj conversion? I see some early ones use speed density with a map sensor and later use a maf.

The biggest difficulty is the distributor signal - while Mopar ignitions are very similar to a GM HEI, a Ford TFI Hall effect distributor is a different can of worms entirely. It doesn't use the same sensors, and its output is a square wave with a constant peak voltage. On some TFI ignitions, it even has a one tooth of a different length to signal the number one cylinder. You'd probably have an easier time transplanting an EDIS distributorless ignition onto a slant six than a TFI ignition.
