I have got a spanish Dodge from 1974, with 225" engine and Torqueflite A-904.



I am repairing it and I want to change the transmision fluid. The original specification said ATF Dexron II, but it looks like ATF Dexron III is better.

This is my doubt ...

... Can I use ATF Dexron III instead II in my car?
... Would it be ATF Dexron III better for my car than Dexron II?

In the US, I haven't seen a bottle of Dexron II in over 15-20 years, Dexron III should be OK for use in a 70's A-904.
