Just got my Super six installed. the first carb I put on worked fine before I got the throttle linkage fabbed up and then the accelerator pump got stuck. So I threw on a spare I had, It fired right up but would not idle lower then 1100 rpm's. the carb linkage would also stick for some reason (everything looked fine) and sometimes idle even higher 1300-1400. This particular BBD has the holes in the throttle plates for the 318. could that be why I cant get my idle to go down? I'm having the BBD with the stuck pump looked at monday it also has holes, can anything be done to lower idle? Sorry if I left out some vital info. stock 75 truck motor with Dutra duals and Mid 70's? BBD. other then the high idle it has alot more power then the old BBS and I havent gotten to mess with mixture settings or timing yet. |

Yup, that could be why it won't idle down for you. |
