I was just looking in the old mopar catalog and I found out mopar actually makes a block off plate for the EGR valve so I ordered one in yesterday ans got it in today and it is really neato it is about 1/4" thick (and the cool thing is I didn't need to make one) the part # is 3671447 and any dealer should be able to order it for you (the national depo shows about 450 of them in stock) list price is $5.00 so its not to expensive |

Now that is interesting, because not many years ago, 3671 447 was NS1 and there were only a few of them scattered around in the parts system. I can only surmise that a newer-than-\6 application called for this plate and so it was revived. There have been latter-year Mopar engines with EGR valves using the same bolt pattern and interface plate dimensions as the old \6 valve. Thanks for the bulletin! |

well i just looked it up for an 83 passenger car and the number came up good so i cross referenced it and it looks like the newest vehicle it came on was a 95 passenger car with a 2.5,3.0,3.3 & 3.8 it is ruled as WCNS1 so they will not be making them any more so when they are gone they are gone so i might order 1 or 2 more just to have (my cost is only $3.30) |
