Will the stock fuel pump keep up with 3 36mm webber side draft carbs? Also haw much will the timing need to be retarded?

I would think yes it would . But the timing does not have any thing related to the carbs. That is a different subject. Thanks Ron Parker :D

I had a 32/36 Weber, and I could never get a completely smooth idle until I put a constant low pressure electric rotary pump on it. I made this switch after much research and talking to some reps who said that the Webers really like a (IIRC) constant pressure of 3.5 to 4.0 psi, 60-70gph.

Now maybe that was only for the 32/36.

I think racetep.com has an article about fuel pressure on a weber.

Regards,

Tim

I don't know where I read it, but I've heard the same info about Weber carbs... low and steady fuel pressure makes 'em run.

Thank you for the help. The site helped alot corrected me in many ways  . I Had assumed that the increse in a better air fuel mixture would require a retard but i guess that made me the retard. I can't wait to get this car running and tune it, should be a fun ride!
