I installed a Clifford 264H cam in kit in my 64 225, and I'm very dissapointed. The motor runs great once the lifters pump up and there lies the problem. I know the reason why. Clifford never said anything about the rear cam bearing in pre 81 motors, and i sure as hell didn't know. Anyway, I want to go back to a solid cam. Who makes one similar to this grind? |

erson 270 is a nice cam. there are others. you may want to go with a custom cam. i you like the cam and the ease of a hydro motor, you can groove the cam journal your self....it would just take some set up so you could cut it true and then some polishing. sb |

The rear cam bearing does not have a groove in any slant engine. The rear bearing journal on the cam, is supposed to have a groove, on the hydraulic cams |
