I installed a Clifford 264H cam in kit in my 64 225, and I'm very dissapointed. The motor runs great once the lifters pump up and there lies the problem. I know the reason why. Clifford never said anything about the rear cam bearing in pre 81 motors, and i sure as hell didn't know. Anyway, I want to go back to a solid cam. Who makes one similar to this grind?

erson 270 is a nice cam.

there are others. you may want to go with a custom cam.

i you like the cam and the ease of a hydro motor, you can groove the cam journal your self....it would just take some set up so you could cut it true and then some polishing.

The rear cam bearing does not have a groove in any slant engine. The rear bearing journal on the cam, is supposed to have a groove, on the hydraulic cams
